This was the beginning of setting up my tea party area for the baby shower. You can definitely use this for a little girls party as well. I just used random teacups and saucers. You can have them match or mismatch. I actually liked the mismatch but its just a preference. I even took an old book that I had and removed pages and used that as a table runner.
I actually made the hat out of cardboard. I took an old black dress that I haven’t worn in forever and cut it up. I then hot glued the material and wrapped a scarf around the bottom. I took some wire coat hangers and glued them to the hat with just random charms in the junk drawer.
I think the silver just really made it pop. I wanted to use sugar cubes so I decided to incorporate fresh flowers in the sugar bowl. I then added creamer and fresh lemon. You can even add mint leaves or cinnamon sticks. The tea and coffee sign I made. Its just some extra wood I had and sprayed it with chalkboard paint. I went to the dollar tree and hot glued the moss around the edges.
The teacups are actually in a medicine cabinet that I bought some time ago that’s been in the attic. The table is actually a makeup stand but you can use whatever table you’ve got. I placed a vintage Alice In Wonderland book in the back of the teacups.
SO THERE IT IS!
And this is how it turned out! I think it turned out amazing. What do you think? Go to my blog and check out the full baby shower. I also added Cinderella, Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, Pinocchio and Snow White.
